Take care of yourself

If you work in the adult entertainment industry, you may have heard about the number of suicides in the last years. You know about abuses and harassment, or maybe you lived them yourself. You know about the risk of being exploited and the fear to protesting and being blacklisted. And of course you know what social stigma is, probably more than every other kind of worker in the world.

Knowing is not enough to face it if it happens. Performers need to talk, and be ready to face these problems.

When Leya Tanit realised at Xbiz 2018 how many performers committed suicide in the last year, she realised that performers needed help. And that’s what Pineapple Support does. Help performers 24/7, for free.

In one year what she did has been incredible. And now Pineapple Support organised the first Adult Industry Health Summit, and it’s completely free and online, 30-31 October 2019, where professionals will talk about performers problem, defining them and talking about how to face them, and why

If you work in the adult entertainment industry, you may find very helpful to follow the summit. Tell your friends about it.

These are the people you will hear:

Dr. Jena Field – Want to feel less anxious? Find your shame.
Samantha Willis – Trauma: The Impact on the Brain, Mind, and Body
Russell Stagg – You Don’t Just “Get Over It”: Healing From Sexual Trauma
Cora Bilsker – The title of the seminar is: “Know Your Worth: Maintaining emotional health through your career.”

Kelly Jones – What Is and What to Expect from Sex Positive Therapy
